We’re a different kind of party – join ordinary Suffolk people who believe that local government is out of touch and driven by national party politics.

You pay for it, so let’s make sure local government is responsive to the local voice of local people

I am 56 years of age and have lived in and around Ipswich since 1974 when I left the Regular Army. Following my army career I spent fifteen years at Felixstowe Port during a period of economic turmoil, not dissimilar to what we are all suffering today.

After my time in Felixstowe I enjoyed ten years managing and directing businesses specialising in training and developing unemployed people in the Ipswich area. These challenges gave me a lot of experience of life for employers and unemployed people in the region—including the difficulties of dealing with the local council! I am committed to helping businesses within the area to ensure jobs can be created and sustained and the economic prosperity of the area can be enjoyed long into the future.

I am independent minded, a non-political candidate and as such am proud to stand for Suffolk Together in the Whitton and Whitehouse Division. I sincerely believe it is time for a change, total transparency, new blood, new ideas with someone who asks questions, is objective and really does not mind if the questions are controversial.

I fully understand that life as a Councillor can be a complex and time consuming experience. However, the opportunity will enable me to provide leadership and guidance to the Whitton and Whitehouse communities that face many challenges.

Your local Councillor is at the heart of the relationship with the service providers in your town. It is critical to have a good clear channel of communication to ensure that you are getting the most out of your Councillor and they are representing your needs and communicating your concerns in the most efficient way possible. Vote Suffolk Together on June 4th and give local people a local voice.
