Brought up on the North West Norfolk Coast now living in rural West Suffolk, I am the Suffolk Together Candidate for Blackbourn Division in the County Council elections. I am the founder of a local democracy campaign in my local community for transparency from Suffolk County Council on the issue of the Core Waste Strategy Public Consultation.

The community I live in feels that the very minimum legally required was done by Suffolk CC to inform the local residents of the public consultation process for proposals to give planning permission for a privately run Incinerator/MBT & incinerator combination, to burn industrial waste on a light industrial site in Hepworth, near Stanton, Walsham-Le-Willows & Ixworth.

I am 35 years of age and I work as an executive in the plastic packaging industry - my knowledge of this industry has given an insight into the solutions & issues surrounding plastic recycling, packaging and biodegradable technology. From my experience within the packaging industry I believe that there is more to the issue of waste & recycling than meets the eye and that the volatility in market values for recyclables are responsible for wasting vast amounts of non renewable resources. It is with this in mind that I feel that I have a positive contribution to make when it comes to the challenges facing Suffolk on this particular subject. Suffolk is a great county to live in and I feel that the people of Suffolk deserve better from those entrusted with the authority to run our county. It's time to bring democracy back to the communities of Suffolk - it’s time to vote Suffolk Together.
